This was a letter faxed yesterday to the Hawkins County DA in regard to the owner and operator of this website, Ethan Lucas:
Dear District Attorney Armstrong,
I am writing to bring a matter to your attention involving an individual I uncovered as a journalist who I believe may be practicing medicine without a valid Tennessee license and representing himself to members of the public as a “Naturopathic Doctor.”
I am requesting that your office review the matter and, if appropriate, refer it to the appropriate investigative or regulatory authorities for further examination.
The individual in question is Iam Ethan Lucas Vangrael, who is associated with the NewEarth Micronation project off Stanley Valley Rd and currently lives in a shed on the property. He has represented himself as a naturopathic doctor and has allegedly provided or offered health-related services to autistic children and the elderly that may constitute the practice of medicine or another regulated health profession in Tennessee.

He also operates a website on which he claims to sell "supplements" that he has developed through his expertise as a naturopathic doctor, although he holds no medical license or formal education in medicine (https://www.syrona.org).
I have retained supporting documentation, including screenshots, recordings, advertisements, social media posts, correspondence, witness statements, photographs, or other evidence, which I can provide to your office upon request.
Mr. Vangrael also has and has used more than two dozen aliases.
I am particularly concerned because the use of a professional medical title can lead members of the public to believe that an individual is licensed and legally authorized to diagnose or treat medical conditions. I would appreciate clarification as to whether this individual's activities comply with Tennessee law and whether he currently holds any Tennessee professional license authorizing him to perform the services he is offering.
I am submitting this information in good faith and am not asking your office to reach a conclusion based solely on my allegations. Rather, I am requesting that the matter be reviewed and investigated based upon the available evidence.
Please let me know whether this complaint should be submitted directly to your office or referred to another Tennessee agency, such as the appropriate professional licensing board or the Tennessee Department of Health.
I am available to provide the supporting documentation and additional information I have gathered.
